Terrific service, hard to find an honest mechanic, they completed job quick

Dougie promptly accepted the job within 2 hours of me requesting a mechanic through this site. I found it super useful that the car was picked up and dropped off with me as it meant I didn't need to mess around my work hours at all. Also saved a lot of money compared with what I was previously quoted at Halfords!

All work done, and was a good service.
The only thing I could fault was, is washed and cleaned my car prior to it’s MOT, but came back dirty, apart from that it was a great service.

Dougie is great to deal with and I'm very happy with the service on my car . Excellent getting the MOT done at the same time without leaving my house due to the pick up and delivery service .

As always Dougie went the extra mile and did a great job. My next booking will be with him again, no doubt

Dougie went above and beyond for me. He had a lot to fit in and knew that I was on a tight time scale to get to my night shift. He was with me asap and worked quickly and efficiently. Nice bloke, solid work

Dougie was great - very reliable, phoned us straight after and sent the review after he'd done the car inspection.

Dougie, phoned to see if he could start work on the brakes earlier than scheduled, earlier the better for me so no problem there. Unfortunately his supplier had set him the incorrect brake pads for the front wheels but was able to have them changed the following morning, these things happen and was through no fault of Dougie. Will happily use again.

Dougie called me straight after the inspection with a detailed report on the car, covering all the good bits, the things that would need sorting soon and what might need watched. Cheers

Dougie seemed like a nice enough guy and the standard of the work done was, as far as I can tell, good. The 1 star for communication is because not only did he not phone me with any information about the progress of my car at all, he also failed to phone me when he said he would. I kept having to chase him up to find out where my car was. In addition to this the work, which is pretty standard, took him from Friday to Monday (last year another garage did more work in 1 day) to complete. I can't figure out why it would have taken that long and it meant I was without my car for work on Monday morning. Finally, I noticed that between the car failing it's MOT and passing, it had been driven 64 miles (no, that's not a typo, 64 miles). There can surely be no justification for that, everyone I've spoken to says 10 miles would have been more than enough. Read more
