Andrea and the people at Motors Express on the surface seemed like nice blokes. I was a bit worried my car wouldn't pass the MOT but it did and I think they then took advantage a bit. They suggested on the phone that I replace both rear springs due to corrosion and said that it was 'MOT advised.' to do so. I said that I would in the future but didn't really have the money £180 at the time. They texted me to state the issues (a text I still have) and that they understood and that they would be more than willing to help do it in the future. I have since had them replaced via clickmechanic again and as with most instances when I have work done, I asked to keep the old parts to check them over. There is little, if any corrosion. It is more the paint on the springs coming off than actual metal corroding and the size of this is about that of a one pence piece. It is also on one and not both springs. Having just re-checked my MOT certificate now it actually has nowhere on there anything about changing the springs. If I cleaned these springs now they would look virtually good as new. It's despicable that individuals like this can get away with making fabricated statements and leaving good honest people like myself part with money under false pretences. It is essentially robbery. Thankfully I didn't line these individuals pockets with the work and someone else did it. That is the only silver lining of what has been a truly horrible manipulation of other's integrity.
