Keith is a very pleasant man. Unfortunately, after 3 hours he was unable to fix my car. First he thought it was the battery, so he ordered one in (£60 to me) then he thought it was the petrol pump finally the digital programming with the fob and mechanics. I am still without a car. He went home and said he would look up reasons and let me know suggestions to try to start the car. He did this but nothing. He suggested putting me in touch with a programmer who hopefully will fix the problem. I thought a mobil mechanic would be the answer to the problem. I am still waiting for a call. I need my car! So far I am £146. 80 out of pocket and still without a car. Read more

on his arrival I have explain to him that the clutch
stinks and that iam having issues with the gearbox. after 2h of checking the car i have been told that car is in good condition and there isnt any issues with the car. I took it to bmw service and they have find lots of issues where i been told by your "mechanic" that is in good condition. the points he have not find or point that are in good condition:Auxillary belt; "This is new and is on my findings." According to your check.
By the BMW Auxillary belt is in POOR condition.
ALSO BMW Find:
Smoke coming out of the car as I told you before check,
Clutch issue jerking as drive off,
very bad engin oil leak DRIPPING onto Exhaust(You wrote taht you did jack the car up but
did not spoted the exhaust cover in engine oil?(safety aspect could cause fire)
Clutch biting point is very high indicating a worn and possibly flywh reqired.
Rear brakes pipes according to your check are in good condition, by the BMW Corroded.
Also Rear trailing arm bushes are in poor condition by you in a good condition.
after dispute with the company did not get any money back. Just remember dear customers if you have lack or no skills you can always become mechanic in clickmechanic

Hi MK,
I gave your car the ratings that I saw fit for a 15 year old BMW. To help keep things clear I will try to address each of your issues in turn.
1. The drive belt - the quality of this seemed good and there was very little wear; this is clearly the case as you can clearly see the part numbers and other writing printed on the belt and they are still in white ink, this would not be the case if it were an older belt.
2. The smoke - there is a small amount of smoke coming out when driving, possibly showing worn rings or valve guides. The minor amount would not be deemed enough to affect an MOT outcome.
3. The clutch - I drove the car for about 7 miles and did not find anything wrong with this. The take up point varies from car to car and if it is worn then that's not too surprising considering the mileage. When replacing the clutch it is always worth replacing the dual mass flywheel at the same time.
4. The oil leak - I communicated to you that the cam cover is leaking oil however also made it clear that this is not a major leak, just one which has been there for a very, very long time. It certainly does not leak sufficiently to cause a fire hazard, I take safety standards extremely seriously.
5. The trailing arm bushes and brake pipes - I checked these when the car was elevated on a jack and considered them to be satisfactory and most importantly safe.
6. I am sorry you have only given me two stars for punctuality. I take pride in keeping to schedule despite a heavy work load. I recall arriving on time to your house and so I do not understand how I could improve on this aspect but would be willing to receive your comments.
Overall on the day I carried out this work I felt that your agenda required something I could not provide - I feel that you wanted me to come to the conclusion that your car was below the specifications that you were recently sold so that you could return it to the trader to get a refund. Instead my professional judgement was that the car is in reasonable condition and I stand by this.
Kind regards,
Keith
