Ford Grand Tourneo Connect Car Won't Start Inspection

He didn’t carry out any work. The fault had not recurred since the vehicle wouldn’t start. He told me his computer would be unlikely to identify the cause, as the AA had not identified a fault on their computer. For the pleasure, I was charged £81. I understand it was his time, but he was only here for 10 minutes. I also have my own business. If I had been presented with a similar scenario, I simply couldn’t have charged that amount of money. He didn’t even get in the vehicle…. A very easy £81. He gave me his card and told me to contact him if the fault recurred. Highly unlikely given what he charged for doing nothing.

As I explained, it’s near impossible to diagnose something that is working. As you said, it hadn’t had any problems starting for a few days now. I talked through with you what had happened in depth. I’ve got a lot of years under my belt now, a good conversation as to the symptoms you faced when they happened is more relevant to me in terms of diagnosis than “getting in the vehicle”. You took a phone call while I was there, I waited for a while but you didn’t seem to want to get off the phone to discuss things further, so I gave you my card and said if it happens again to “call me, I’m only down the road so can pop by whenever / if, it causes issues I will return free of charge”. I’m truly sorry you’re upset with the service we provided, it’s not the level of satisfaction we aim to achieve. If you would like me to re-attend I am more than happy to do so. Thank you Read more
