MINI Mini Premium Pre-purchase Inspection

I was not on site during the inspection, but the mechanic called me to talk me through the results before sending me the report. He was very knowledgeable and explained what the seller might do for the "cheap" remedials and how this might impact my possible purchase. Very welcome advice !
I'm very satisfied with the inspection that was carried out, it was a worthwhile investment as I was very tempted to buy this car (which would have been a dud !). Thanks :)

Jaguar XE Plug-in Diagnostic Inspection

Overall, disappointed and wasted £85. Diagnostic suggested software update and the problem would be cleared (additional charge of £100). It was confirmed cleared, but when engine was switched off and restarted, the engine warning amber light (original issue) returned. I was then told to take it to a main dealer for diagnostics, and the £100 additional charge was dropped!. I wish I had done this in the first place and not used ClickMechanic. First time negative review for any product/service.

We understand your disappointment in this situation in regards to a fix although we were only there for diagnostic test not to fix we attempted a software update to your vehicle to try and resolve this issues with your car but unfortunately there is o my so much we can do at the roadside however you did receive a full diagnostic report and have been given clear reason for your vehicle’s problems we do try to make it clear to all customers that a diagnostic inspection is not a repair job and as mentioned above not all issues can be fixed on spot as we don’t carry spare parts unless pre ordered but hope all go’s well .
