Renault Captur Car Won't Start Inspection

My mechanic turned the car on and within 2/3 secs proceeded to tell me that I need a new engine based on sound? If I am totally honest I feel robbed as I paid £60+ to be told something in 3 secs and felt as if there was no deep dive into alternatives etc or even an actual look at the vehicle. So for that reason I would not recommend Click Mechanic

Hi , thx for the review , even though it wasn’t the best one I’ve had , however a good mechanic does not need to spend any more time than I did (2/3 mins ) to diagnose your issue , because it’s a instant conclusion that with no compression in the engine and the mechanical noise can only mean one thing - which is exactly what I told you.
Would had it been better if i spent a hour with you to give you the same diagnosis as I had in 3 mins - I think not !!!
My diagnosis is 100 % accurate that the cost of repairing your car would out weigh the value of your car ..

Kyriacos was quick to respond to messages and gave a very accurate report of the car in question; his focus was on the mechanical and physical state of the car, which was high mileage and therefore a risk for us as buyers. Kyriacos gave us the confidence to travel the big distance to view, pay for and pick up the car in one visit. it was a bargain and therefore the cost of the report was easily justified. it was also very reassuring to have the estimate for the cost of work needed for an MOT pass - although this was covered by the seller.

I’d like to say that my workmanship is second to none and my van carries a extensive range of tools and the latest diagnostic equipment, needless to say that it is a van and there are limitations to what I can carry .
I’d also like to say that you will be happy with any work I carry out , your car will be protected from damage and with time permitting I’ll also wash your car before I leave , ( will need water and power)
