The work was completed and explained. The day of collection I was informed the would arrive with a tow truck at 12 after phoning to chase this I was informed they were held up. Following a conversation with the tow van at approx. 15:30 they informed me they were never going to be at mine for 12 which was frustrating as I waited in for them. Following phoning three times regarding drop off I was informed the car would be returned no later than 6pm. It arrived a couple of hours later after the mechanic had driven it rather than the tow van dropping it off. Inside the footwell of the car was a receipt from Tesco for approx. 1pm that day and the journey computer had stated that it was driven for approx. 2 hours from approx. 1-2pm that day so I was a little concerned on where the car had been for the day and the reason for the delay. Afternoon.
Firstly can I apologise for your feelings. With regard to the recovery driver , he is a sub contractor and he was advised of the time schedules , so why he told you that I have no idea. I myself personally dropped your car off as his time schedule was messed up , to ensure you were not without a car for longer than needed. As i also explained to you. I can assure you , your car was not driven around anywhere , other than a ten mile road test as per guidelines for any new DPF procedure , then for the trip from my garage to your home address. With regard to the tesco receipt I can only think this must have fallen out of someones pocket when working on your car.
I can assure you , myself or any member of my staff are not authorised , nor would I let them use any customers car for any reason other than a road test as and when needed. When I gave you a call on Saturday you should have mentioned your feelings to me then , however I take on board what you have said , and hope this explains it.
