He stated very early that he was not able to assist. .. and that was pretty much that. ...
Again no fault at all of the mechanic. .. but the car will need to be looked at by a specialist

The mechanic rang to say he was on way, turned up and had the EGR valve replaced inside the hour. Pretty straight forward job but will definitely use again in the future.
