I began my career with the Army where I served my time and when I left the Army, I worked and gained experience in all vehicle types working with Tyre Spot, Northgate Vehicle Hire, Petit Forestier, Pullmans & TIP, with all my experience I can repair anything from a car to an HGV.
Whilst working throughout my career I attended Gateshead College to attain my mechanical qualifications.

I set-up my own business Princess Road Tyres in 2018, offering mobile servicing and repairs & we also have full workshop facilities for larger jobs if required.

Thank you for asking for my feedback in regards to recent interaction with your company.

This is what I am shortly going to post but I wanted to let you know in case you had any comments or come back.

The 8-10am 2-hourtime window given for the work is not the time in which it will be done but the time during which the mechanic will turn up. It was my experience that he then took the car away at 9:30 and brought it back four hours later at 1:30.

The poor chap was coming from Seaham south of Sunderland to do a job in Cramlington which at 24 miles /42 minutes according to google maps is not really at all that local and so surprised me a great deal.
This obviously cost me money in petrol. It would have been part of the reason for the time taken being so long.

Unlike a usual MOT when I would get a call off the mechanic halfway through suggesting work they could do to put it through its MOT it arrived without any work done or even any offer of this. I was told on delivery that it was dangerous to drive so that I should not drive it which was interesting especially as he had driven it all the way back from Seaham to report this!

I was then told that a repeat MOT had to be done within 10 days and that this would be free. When I called to ask about this the driver then said it would in fact cost £10 each way to recompense him for the journey with things like needing to go through the Tyne Tunnel.

So at £95 I feel this is a very expensive MOT indeed. In fact I declined to have the MOT done by the same organisation, ie so I just took the £75 hit.

The idea of a mobile flexible MOT service is a great one but the delivery of this in my case unfortunately has been disappointing, time-costly and expensive. Others may of course be much luckier than me with finding a much more local garage and therefore quicker turnaround on work with genuinely free repeat MOT.

The speedy, yet quality rapiers carried out to my vehicle indented the high level of skill and experience Dave has gained during his extensive time in the industry.
