Appointment slot 9-12 and received a text at 11:43 to advise of an eta of 12:15.
I’d already used a £15 dongle to read my error codes so for a diagnosis I expected something more than the mechanic to do literally exactly the same thing.
His diagnosis was based on an assumption that the most common reason for those codes no further investigation was carried out.
His quote was £429. My local main deal was £425. I got premium parts for £180 and did the job myself after watching a YouTube video - it took me 15 minutes.

I do around 10 jobs a day and 300 miles driving,I'm afraid a serious road accident had closed a main road for sometime.However I did apologise at the time and you excepted that
However as you say you aready knew the faults with your car,I was able to confirm what you already knew.and told you there and then and showed you the faults on the lap top.i was able to run a full test on your car using BMW mini approved soft ware.
You then asked me to get click to quote using main dealer parts only.I myself after reading this review checked the parts cost and main dealer parts cost more then the £180 you have stated,so you have gone to a motor factors that are a very different price,and they are non main dealer parts
But anyway I'm pleased I was able to confirm what you already knew and you,even if you opted to buy non dealer parts in the end.
And I'm even more impressed that you was able to carry out the repair in 15 minutes,very impressive indeed.and you knew the faults before I arrived.
