Mechanic didn't know where data port was. I found it by using Google. Mechanic did not replace screws he'd removed or the courtesy lights/covers he removed whilst looking for data port. After a lot of might be's and could be's none of which I could quote to you (not being a mechanic), he said he would download the info and e-mail a report to me. Now 3-4 days later am still waiting for e-mail. All things considered a total waste of £44.10! I probably would still recommend company as you can't judge on one experience.

first time used clickmechanic better than {garage ford} who charge the earth and think your a idiot for using them and not very helpful .

It would be helpful if their is contact number rather then communicate through email,it's would makes communication faster with machenic.

I live in Cheshire and the car was purchased and checked in Portsmouth. Therefore I am offering the comments of one of the mechanics who works in the garage that the car was purchased from. He advised that the guy arrived on time but he felt the checks were not thorough, merely a cursory look! Ie, our inspection report advised there was no cruise control but there is and it does work.
The inspector did communicate with us in person.
Based on feedback from the garage where car was purchased from, I would not use this service again for a pre purchase inspection.
