Mechanic was able to complete the job assigned.

I was away so had to send someone to my house to deal with car. There was no communication bar one on my way call. Picked up the car failed mot didn't fix it or ask if I wanted it fixed that day and posted keys without telling me so I had to send someone back to get keys, he wouldn't come back that day and said I needed a full service (service completed last month on my car so incorrect) tried to get a quote without a service and no response

Good to get profesional opinion on car problem. Turns out its not as bad as I expected which is great .

In general the inspection was satisfactory (did not expect much in the way the mechanical issues with a 14 reg VW golf) but the key element was the interior and exterior bodywork condition. The exterior condition which although was rated as excellent had sustained various scratches to the panels and roof which resulted in debate and negotiation with the seller (dealer ended up running around with t-cut and touch up pen to cover up issues). Internally, again at closer inspection there were small cigarette burns and dog hair covered the footwells. After a long journey to purchase car was disappointing end. Perhaps the standards of the mechanic do not match my expectations. Felt like poor value for money. Read more
