Jon owns and operates SMS Autocare and has been running the business for over 15 years in the Slough area. Prior to setting up SMS Autocare Jon completed his apprenticeship and was then a mobile mechanic for 5 years. The team at SMS Autocare are fully trained and able to deal with all makes and models of cars (including EV and hybrid) and tackle all repairs and MOT's including motor bikes. The team at SMS operate a garage but are fully committed to a collection/drop-off service and have 5 dedicated full-time drivers. For the collection and drop-off facility Jon will contact customers the evening before the booking and inform collection times.

Firstly, they did not reset the service interval although invoice stated they had. I called and and asked how I could be sure everything else they said they did was actually done - they were very rude. I asked if they understood how I could be worried that other work had not been carried out, the guy replied that he understood that customers can be very difficult. However, they returned and reset the interval so I let the incident pass. Today, I brought my car to a mechanic for an oil leak and was told that the filter had blown. The filter they installed was too small for the car and it was a spurious part, not a renault part. I will never use thenm or clickmechanic again. My engine could have blown and my driveway is wrecked from leaking oil. Read more

Im very sorry to here about this , I hope this faulty part has rectified your issue .
do you have any video or photo evidence to support this ?
As this was 11 months since we serviced this, has there not been oil leaks, if so why did you not inform us before hand to rectify this issue?we do use after market parts as do all garages,but only quality parts.
I think in view of the time span there is very little we can do about a leaking oil filter seal, which was obviously fine up until 11 months after the event.
