John was friendly and efficient, completed the work without the usual intake of breath and claim that " the half reverse turn quantum planar tensioner had also gone and that would be an extra five hundred pounds as they can only be supplied by a Moldovian company and are very rare but he just happens to have one " routine.....I was pleased with the convenience of using a mobile mechanic.
We will definitely use ClickMechanic again.

I had a diagnostic test rather than a fix, but John's diagnosis (irreparably clogged DPF) is almost certainly correct given the other symptoms and previous problems with the EGR. He was very knowledgeable about my model and its history / typical problems - a much more open source of info than the main dealer.
