This is the first time I’ve used this service so I take it as a learning experience and move on. I share my observations here for anyone thinking about this service.
I purchased a major service + MOT
1. The product is sold as a service whereby vehicle is collected to be serviced and MOT’d and returned once the work is completed.
In my experience, the vehicle was partly serviced at my property and partly serviced off site. I don’t mind that but the description of the service is not accurate.
2. The time slot was between 8-10am. Car was collected at around 10:45 after me calling at 10am to figure out why no one had showed up.
Not great if you are planning to be somewhere.
3. The most important feedback. At the MOT, they identified one of the rear number plate bulbs needed to be replaced and went ahead and changed it. Great BUT they charged £20 without bothering to call me and give me the option of either failing the MOT or agreeing with me to pay that ridiculous amount and have it changed by them there and then. I would’ve probably agreed but it is the fundamental principle of doing business that you don’t agree a price and then change the price and not informing the other party. They charged my card and told me about when the car was returned.
All other garages I’ve ever used for MOT called me before doing any extra work.

Hi, sorry for the late collection today. As I explained to you over the phone, mechanics were held up at a job not too far from you, which I explained to you.

The service was partly done at your location because you told the mechanic you didn’t want oil on your drive and he did not want to inconvenience you and take the chance. The service you booked for was mobile mechanic or garage collection.

Regarding the MOT, there was never a charge until the vehicles were dropped back off. This was explained to the young lady who opened the door and said you had your daughter, so you couldn’t come down.
It was explained to her, so she agreed and said to go ahead. You can check with Clickmechanic admin to confirm when the charge was added. Read more

Cannot believe I’ve never used this service before. Was charged less than half what other mechanics had quoted me. My car was picked up on time by really polite helpful professional and work completed and car returned within 2 hours!! Super happy with this service will defo use mechanic again and highly recommended!

My clean car I found dirty & muddy inside. No service stamp on the service record book.

Im sorry but not sure what you mean by dirty and muddy. Your vehicle was driven to the garage and dropped back to you sir. If is dirty that’s how it was collected. The service book was not left on the seat where it can be seen.

None of the technicians is allowed to go through customer gloves box looking for service book.

Really good - Jason fixed the car, which needed some care and attention. Front brake discs and pads and rear brake shoes - all replaced and checked.
