Jay was very good phoned me to explain what they had done & highlighted something for me to keep an eye on , returned the car when they said they would, I would be happy to use Jay again for any works required on my car

Little bit of misunderstanding about the job Jo fault to jay as he called me after I kicked off abit as was annoyed about experience with another mechanic on this site that I needed to use in emergency. No work was really done but the guy turned up on time and jay who called me was helpful and wanted to help out with what I needed so I give credit where it's due seems like an honest bloke so if I need a garage I would use this company. I thin. There is some issues with click mechanic and passing on the right information to the mechanic as to what is needed and in my case I needed a mobile mechanic really.

Jay kept in touch and advised on the various options to consider when having the work carried out

Only just got van back so not had a test drive etc but it was collected and delivered back repaired within two days which was great .

Jay gave me confidence that things would get done properly and within the timeframe. Thankyou

Jay was great. Picked up the car the day before it was even due (so the day I actually commissioned the job) because he was in the area. Found something else wrong with it related to job I wanted doing (and sent DM video footage of it) and got it all fixed in 2 days, as I needed it back for something I wasn't expecting at the weekend. He couldn't drop it back off for staffing reasons but considering it only took 2 days to order the parts and fit them I was happy to head out to pick my car up myself.

After completing the original work, I asked him to check something else which he done and found some other faults.

I can only offer 1 star because I can't show what has been done.
Vehicle was picked up on time. Was advised that it would be best to have an oil and filter change. Cost would be £60. Also, that the oil pump should be cleaned. Cost £140. Agreed to the oil and filter as the works were already at £478. The final cost was £565.
Also, no receipt - other than an email with what work has been done how do I show that the Cambelt had been changed?
I really don't like that because it lacks transparency. Also, the money is paid when the mechanic has said - not when you are satisfied.
I have little doubt that the work has been done but can't show that it has to anyone who would want to buy the car at a later date.
The oil change was almost 50% more than quoted when the car was picked up.
This was a leap of faith on my behalf for the sake of convenience but if they're not providing receipts for any work done then there remains an element of doubt. I would not recommend this service. Read more
