To be honest I didn't really get much from it. The advice was to take it to another mechanic. The diagnosis was that it's probably the injectors, because, diesel. However the other mechanic that was recommended was fairly sure that's not the case from the description on the phone.
4 mechanics and 4 different diagnoses. Anyway, it's with the other recommended mechanic now. Hoping for a 5th time lucky.

Thanks for your review on this matter. This was a case of an intermittent fault which given the allocation time of 0.9 hours is almost impossible to give an exact diagnosis on your issue. No fault codes were present I did a live data check but again nothing stood out, I recommended that the injectors get checked out by a specialist given they are a common problem on this make of car and would be a good starting point. Your problem clearly isn't an easy solution given the fact you've had a number of mechanics look and by the sounds of things the specialist didn't want to get involved.
