Very disappointed , The mechanic knew in advance that it was a starter problem due to fuel starvation (we informed you of that in advance) THIS IS A COMMEN PROBLEM . usually a fuel pump failed, or more likely on such an old Passat (2009) Fuel pump RELAY failure. You mechanic confirmed this on his diagnosed visit.
His comments were that he usually carries spare relays as they are cheap and very common to most cars, but he did not have any on the van.
Poor service and planning, from what is a good way to assist motorist that can not get to a garage .
