I didn't meet my mechanic. So he arranged things with the seller so I could settle back and wait for his assessment. I clearly ordered the wrong level of inspection since I suspect he summed things up when the door locks didn't work. I think it would be even better if the mechanic called it a day as soon as s/he found the unforgivable and charged accordingly - but I appreciate this is not a garage where s/he would move onto another paid job. I adapted my car search accordingly and bought a Peugeot Partner from a reputable dealer.

I Did a 4 yr Apprentiship at R and L plant limited but worked there for 5 yrs
Then worked at Plant and Tool limited as a diesel fitter.
Worked as a head mechanic at South Wales Morris minor specialist for 7 years
Worked at valley industrial as a head Diesel engineer/ Steel works
Worked at Cambrian garage as a head Mot Tester/mechanic I was also an Authorised Examiner for 2 yrs.
