Happy with the service and MOT carried out in the car park where I work. Stephen did have to rearrange the date but called ahead and this had little affect on me. Was on time and called before arriving.

This mechanic bought his girlfriend along,..
He was quick to decide that my car would fail the mot and we decided to continue with just service.
The engine was tapping and to me I’d thought he change spark plugs at least?
The job was done in 45✍️Minutes at the rate charged pre email last night should have been £173.
How can anyone do a service in 45 minutes arriving at 9-15 leaving 10 am.
Too expensive
Won’t be booking again .
From quotation £187 for two bulbs and mot ridiculous

Hi Tracy,
Thanks for your review, I’m sorry to hear you’re not happy with the service you have received. I just want to outline some points below for you:
- I brought the joint owner of SM Automotive Services with me as she helps with the admin side of things to get the job done as efficiently as possible.
- you rang me yesterday to let me know that the light unit was smashed and I asked to see photos of the damage prior to the booking. You sent the photos this morning and on the phone I expressed that this would fail the MOT so to save you money and time on a retest I advised it would be worth fixing beforehand.
- unfortunately you booked in for a full service and not a major service meaning the spark plugs were not booked to be changed. When booking your service, all parts are outlined to you beforehand therefore you would have been aware that these would not be changed
- We carry out services every day meaning we are experienced in getting the job done slightly quicker than the hour booked time. You asked to see the parts that had been changed and I happily showed these to you
- your 1/5 for punctuality and communication is also very harsh as I kept you informed every step of the way, including an accurate arrival time. We also arrived within the 2 hour booking time

Joe was friendly and knowledgeable . I might have embarrassed him as he looks very young and I asked if he had left school !
Only thing I’m disappointed in was my service book didn’t get stamped . It was on passenger seat 🙁
