The mechanic turned up on time and was easy to speak to afterward over the phone. However, when I went up to purchase the car the next day there were a number of problems.
1. The dimmed lights weren't working.
2. The indicators weren't working.
3. The alternator belt was slipping.
4. The internal lights weren't working for any gauges.
5. The fog lights also wern't working.
Considering I paid for a premium vehicle inspection I am not particularly happy with the service. Surely this would have all come up on the 8 mile test drive even if he didn't do it while it was stationary.
The report was sent to me the same day and the mechanic called on his was back from the job.
If I had know there were numerous electrical faults with the car I wouldn't have bothered with the 9 hour round trip.

This vehicle was over 27 years old and lacked modern day vehicle technology.
All lights were in working condition, not bright as newer cars obviously.
In these cases you have to take into consideration the age.
I would recommend connecting suitable led lighting to interior it may then be more visible.
Apologies if you are not happy with the vehicle but in my opinion even with faults you mentioned (Minor and obviously intermittent) it's still worth it as cosmetics were excellent engine too.
