I purchased the premium pre-purchase check, website said from £125.00, for an 8 year old car smart car it turned out to be £228.00 but I went along with it anyway, the cost included all pictures (total 6 were taken?) and a full report, page one of the report was all about the guy that did the inspection and how wonderful he was! so first page wasted, from there the other 8 pages were all standard answers, "Good" comments "In working condition", as someone who actually writes checklists and knows cars this tells me the report was completed before the guy even arrived and it was a straight forward tick box exercise from someone who had no interest in what they were doing, this was highlighted very clearly when the comments section at the bottom said the window switch wasn't working even though the checklist entry for the item said (yes you guessed it) "Good, In working condition", which I actually find insulting given the amount paid, it is after all an 8 year old car which means it will have the usual 8 years of knocks, scratches and rattles none of which were mentioned or pictured, there was also the mention of a phone call which I waited for but never received (no I don't want one now), in short the system is easy to use but the results are woefully disappointing and despite the ease of use I certainly won't be using this service again.
