Request made on Sunday for next day Monday to do pre-purchase inspection and got confirmation a few hours later.
On day of inspection, got the report at the end of the day. Report was clear and concise with photos of issues.
Ed followed up with phone call later that day and went over the issues highlighted.
Made recommendation to get major issues fixed before purchasing.

Edward was excellent, I can not stress this enough! He gave a detailed report and answered all relevant questions & even had answers to things I did not think about. He even took time to explain pictures as well, so we didn’t feel like we couldn’t ask anything. Great attention to detail and very warming in his approach. Edd was so professional in doing a vehicle-check on my proposed new car. The report was exceedingly thorough and very easy to understand. The communication was exceptional in its own right but also there was an offer of further explanation if needed. - Edd was great..... hopefully, all the other mechanics on ClickMechanics are as good. Very happy with Ed's report, communication and promptness. Saved me ££'s by commissioning his work.
Prior to this Edd held the title of being ranked the Number 1 mechanic in the UK & Ireland for 3 years according to the LOTM. He won the National contest and was crowned number 1 in the 2021, 2022 and 2023 Contests, in each case after competing over the course of 5 months against mechanics from across the UK and Republic of Ireland. Edward is the only person ever to achieve the ‘hat trick’ worldwide (the contest is held in 38 countries globally) as announced live on BBC Radio 2. Having achieved the record Edward retired from the contest undefeated before going on to win his current title European 'Auto Mechanik of the year'. The interview on the BBC can be seen here:

Edward is a third generation car mechanic who has always been a car enthusiast from a very young age. He began his professional career in the motor trade as an apprentice technician at Volkswagen. He gained a wealth of experience, mainly at a VW main dealer, but with time spent in the VW commercial workshop as well the Seat & Skoda workshops. He also spent 2 years as a specialist patrol for the AA dealing with breakdowns on all manner of vehicle from mopeds to HGV.
Edd works as a Consultant on an International level trouble shooting complex faults for garages mostly across the United Kingdom but his reputation has spread further afield and has also been called out to jobs as far away as Ireland, Italy and Switzerland.
