Happy with the work done by the mechanic. He was very civil and I just left him to work on his own.
Communication was a bit hit and miss and I ended up with about 5 different collection times. That was more to do with your overall set up I expect rather than the mechanic himself.

Nice mechanician and knowledgable. However quoting for inspection isn't something that I expected. I need to find someone who can solve the problem without charging 100 pound extra to say yes or no.

In many cases, identifying the root cause of a fault requires time and professional assessment before any repair can be confirmed. The inspection fee covers the time and expertise needed to properly diagnose the issue and provide accurate advice before proceeding with repairs.

Found the mechanic not sociable the were late and I had to ask why no receipt of work carried out
The person in the office was polite
Concern re insurance as no trade plates but they said they were covered but no evidence

We apologise if any part of your experience did not meet expectations. On the day of your appointment we were completing another BMW job which unfortunately took longer than expected due to an incorrect part supplied by the BMW parts supplier. This caused a short delay to your booking and we appreciate your patience.
Regarding documentation, all job sheets and invoices for ClickMechanic bookings are issued directly through the ClickMechanic platform, which serves as the official record of the work carried out.
In relation to your concern about trade plates, the vehicle remained fully taxed, insured and MOT compliant.
While in our custody it was also covered under our motor trade insurance policy. Trade plates are only required when a vehicle is being driven on the road without valid tax, which was not the case here.
