Thank you for your feedback. The job was cancelled before any work was carried out. Please note that all payments, including pre-authorisations and refunds, are handled directly by ClickMechanic, not by the mechanic.

As an independent mechanic operating through the ClickMechanic platform, I do not receive the payment when a job is cancelled. Any refund due is processed by ClickMechanic in line with their cancellation and refund policy.

If you are still awaiting a refund, I would kindly recommend contacting ClickMechanic customer support directly, as they are best placed to assist you with the payment status.

The mechanic called Prime in Manchester was asked to do a pre-purchase vehicle inspection, I reached out to him to let him know what time slot worked for the seller and shared the seller’s contact. Prime claimed he got to the location and did not see anyone, he said he’d been calling the seller who didn’t pick up for 15mins, he never let me know what was going on. He called me to tell me he had left the location, I immediately called the vehicle seller who even sent me a screenshot of his call log, there was no call from Prime. Prime NEVER called the seller, I don’t think he planned to inspect that vehicle and he was quick to charge me a £60 cancellation fee. Tried to reach out to Click mechanic but I got an email telling me it was up to the mechanic to refund. So disappointing considering my previous experience was nothing like this! Read more

Thank you for your feedback. I would like to clarify the situation from my side.

You contacted me with the agreed time slot, and I arrived at the location approximately one hour earlier than scheduled. Upon arrival, I found that the dealership was closed, and I took photographs to document this. I attempted to contact the seller multiple times, but there was no answer. I also tried calling you to update you on the situation; unfortunately, those calls were not answered. I have screenshots showing my call attempts to both the seller and yourself, which were shared with ClickMechanic.

At no point did I avoid carrying out the inspection.
If that had been the case, there would have been no reason for me to attend the location early and wait.

Regarding the cancellation charge, I did not personally charge £60. The cancellation fee applied was in line with ClickMechanic’s policy, which is £20, not £60.

I understand your frustration and appreciate you sharing your experience, but I believe the above clarifies what occurred on the day.

Did not get the premium service I paid for. Nothing I requested was done. Requested to see images of service history, was not provided. Ask for the temperature of the freezer unit, was not provided.

Thank you for your feedback. The vehicle was inspected in line with the Premium Pre-Purchase Inspection standards, and all relevant checks were carried out with due care.

The only item not physically measured was the internal temperature of the refrigerated box; however, the refrigeration unit was checked and confirmed to be operating correctly at the time of inspection.

Plug-in diagnostics were completed, and this was confirmed to you after the inspection. The service history was also checked based on the information available at the time and communicated accordingly.

We aim to be transparent and thorough in every inspection and appreciate your comments, which help us continue to improve our service.
