Hey, I’m Carl a mobile mechanic. My work experience started when I left school at 16. since I really wanted to do something that I would enjoy. I found I had to work with my hands and so, finally, became a mechanic when I was 19 year old. I never did any training at college but rolled into a job at a Jaguar garage .I believe, being hands-on from the start really gave me an advantage over those guys who learned the trade in school, they’re more fitters in a way and don’t always find the faults in a car. I see myself as a technician; I have the diagnostic equipment and see very quickly what needs to be done.

BMW X3 Diagnostic Inspection
I carried out a procedure to clear the fault which takes 3o mins

I was very disappointed with the whole process to be honest. We agreed a fee for the diagnostics check, but your mechanic didn't even turn up in a signatured vehicle.
He then took the car out for testing for half an hour, which I thought was excessive, and then proceeded to charge my credit card in excess of £33 for the privelige.

The recommendations he made just confirmed what I already knew, so a completed waste of time really

I did not authorise the payment, and my partner at the house was not advised that there would be additional fees for road testing the car.

Hi after diagnostic report which had taken up the time agreed, there was a futher road test to clear the system so i explained that it would be another half hour, so i carried out the repair clearance from diagnostic machine but it never cured the problem. It clearly states how much per hour, so if its half hour over then thats what was charged, however if it had cured it which i believe was a dpf filter problem then that would have been alot better than the price of the dpf, and apologies if there was a misunderstanding.
