The mechanic said he changed the oil on a sworn car Thursday. Took it for an MOT Friday. The MOT advised for the oil to be changed. The Kwik fit Mechanic phoned me as he said I thought you mentioned it was serviced which is why he called. Had to pay to have the oil change Friday so paid £228 for an oil change Thursday and for an oil change £181 Friday. No refund! Great work!

We’re sorry you feel this way, but we would like to clarify the facts. The vehicle had been standing for around two years, and the full service was carried out in your presence, with you recording the work on camera. You saw us replace the oil and filter, using oil from our bulk supply.

An MOT does not include an oil change or provide a recommendation to change the engine oil as part of the MOT test. We understand that Kwik Fit subsequently advised an oil change after observing some sludge around the oil filler cap. Given that the vehicle had been standing for approximately two years, residual sludge around the cap does not mean the oil we replaced was contaminated or that the service was not carried out.

We were not given the opportunity to inspect or discuss the vehicle before you paid for another oil and filter change. Had you contacted us first, we would have been happy to discuss your concerns and resolve them directly. Read more

Booked Vipul to do a diagnostic scan after some warning lights came on. Vipul let me know when he was on his way and arrived within the booked time slot, very polite and knowledgeable. Vipul, the mechanic, was a pleasure to deal with.
He has hopefully repaired the dpf fault on my Vivaro that my regular mechanic hasn't been able to work out for years.

He was very nice and friendly, but I'm not particularly happy as I was charged the full amount of £280 for a failed DPF (hence the lower mark.on quality).

Thank you for your feedback, I really appreciate it.

Just to clarify, the process and time involved in carrying out a DPF regeneration is the same whether the regeneration is ultimately successful or not. In your case, the regeneration unfortunately wasn’t successful and additional time was spent checking other possible causes to try and resolve the issue.

I completely understand your frustration with the outcome and I’m sorry it didn’t fix the problem on this occasion. As the booking was made through ClickMechanic, I would recommend contacting them directly to see if they may be able to assist you with any goodwill or discount.
