This was my first time using ClickMechanic and I was a little hesitant as I did not feel the personal relationship was there and so much is based on trust.

But now I have experienced the whole process I can genuinely say it was the best decision I made. From the booking right through to my mechanic arriving I was informed of every step. Sam the mechanic was great, found the problem and resolved it very quickly.

The concept of the service is a good idea especially if you are unable to physically drive your car to a mechanic. My mechanic arrived on time and did explained as well as showed me what the problem was with my Vauxhall Corsa (leaking oil pressure sensor, which cause my car to smoke when the oil fell on the hot water hose). I am dissappointed that I had to pay £118 to be told that I actually just needed an oil pressure sensor, which I googled and costs under £10 and approx a few minutes to fit.. To make things worst he wasn't able to fix my car as he had to quote me for the parts and I am not sure if I will have to pay another £66 call out charge (as quoted on my bill). I am really quite disappointed as I would have paid Click Mechanic approx £200 for 3 hours work for a job that would have cost me £30 in a local garage for 15 mins. I strongly feel that if a customer diagnostic is less than what they selected the price should be adjusted by the mechanic and charged accordingly and not just charged at the higher rate. This is the second time that I have used Clickmechanic. They do exactly as they state in their advert. They are and any additional costs are explained to you before you agree payment. I would highly recommend them.
