I have very mixed feelings about my experience. I had my car worked on by ACS garage near the Ladypool Road . . Saj’jed the mechanic that fixed my wheel bearing was very friendly and experienced. He came across as very knowledgeable and offered incredible work ethic and rigor . The garage he worked in on the other hand was very basic , and I part it seemed ill equipped to operate as a garage.
The small tool shed served a second hand car lot where Saj’jed fixed and maintain the cars being sold.
I had paid for a diagnostic which the garage was unable to properly do, so in checking the wheel bearing it was driven.
At first the owner tried to tell me I needed new break discs and break pads on both my front wheels. I had been told by two mechanics that I needed the offside wheel bearing changed. Which I explained. The noise from worn discs is different. I had to then get them to test drive the car again , with me. The mechanic said it was the near side bearing…..but without the specialised equipment to check….he wasn’t sure!!!
I had paid an extra £50 to have it checked.
I did explain I had been told it was the offside…..he was convinced it was the other.
They changed it , delivered my car the next day . I test drove the car …..same noise.
The car delivery driver tried to convince me it was the transmission / gears .
I knew it was the offside wheel bearing, which I told them from the beginning.
Eventually , they replaced what I had told them was the problem. It now seems fine .My experience with ACS annd click mecanic hasn’t been the best. I won’t use either angain. My advice to myself and others is - go to a well established garage. Read more

He was very friendly and did the work good and quick. Even helped pop my grill back into place without me asking. Good man.

First impressions were negative, and must admit that I was a bit dubious about leaving my car with him.
However, when speaking to him, it was obvious that he knew the work he would have to do in order to change my cambelt, and I Ieft the car with him at 10am on Tuesday morning. Was called at 2.20pm Wednesday to say car was done and it was delivered shortly afterwards. It had been washed before delivery and the used parts were in the footwell. (Nice touch!) Very satisfied with job well done, many thanks.
