A few days ago, I noticed gears 1 and 2 sticking. Not wanting to risk getting stranded, I searched for a mechanic online.

Jameel took a couple of days to complete the job—longer than I expected, but I appreciate the effort.

Unfortunately, upon receiving my car back, the original clutch-sticking issue appears to still be present, and possibly worse. Gears 3 and up now feel the same—sticking and struggling to shift into place. I was assured the clutch needed replacing, and it was replaced. There was also a constant metal grinding sound when driving, especially noticeable at lower speeds. I decided to give it a few days to break in the new clutch before leaving this review.

Four days later, the grinding sound seems to have gone. However, fuel consumption has noticeably worsened.

The gears still stick. I'll give it a few more days, but I'm hopeful it will sort itself out, as I can't afford for it not to.

It's worth noting my vehicle is 15.5 years old with 140k miles. I understand new metal mating with old metal will never be 100%.

Jameel came in the allocated timeframe to collect the car, did the job and brought it back the same morning. Really happy, will definitely recommend.

Everything went smoothly. Car was picked up in the morning and dropped back early evening. The issue with the car was fixed and the car passed the MOT the following day.

Jameel arranged to collect the car the following Monday. He did not turn up. I understand he contacted you expecting you to let me know. You obviously did not think it necessary, so not Jameel's fault. He arrived this morning and took the car for MOT. Happy with the mechanic, not with you.

Power assisted steering failed. Twice car collected for repair (first time had to call out AA as same problem occurred). Second time it was returned I was assured it was fixed but that at junctions/turning/roundabouts I would have to rev it very high and the steering would be very heavy. This would be permanent. The car was not safe to drive. I rely on it to take my severely disabled daughter to appointments and other activities. Took it to reputable garage where a new pump was fitted and my car is now fixed. Paid your mechanic £450 to not fix my car!
