Literally couldn’t have asked for a better mechanic. Did the job as quickly as was possible and kept me up to date with all info. Showed me the issues I had so I knew what I was paying for. Will definitely be calling Mauro again if I have any issues.

I simply cannot fault Mauro. Plenty of communication, he fully inspected my car and told me of any further faults that needed attention and was extremely helpful, polite and knowledgeable. As a single person and also a mum, I felt very confident and happy leaving my car in his care knowing that it had been repaired to a high standard.

My career in the motor trade began in 2004 in Brazil, where I was selected on grades and tutor recommendation for a dealership-sponsored apprenticeship at SENAI, the country’s leading technical institute, going on to work at a franchised Fiat dealership. Since then I have worked across Brazil, Ireland and the United Kingdom, including fleet maintenance on Volkswagen Group 2.0 TDI powertrains, before establishing MB Auto Solutions.
I am a fully insured IMI member and completed the IMI NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Automotive Technology — retraining to current diagnostic and repair standards while running the business full time, rather than relying on experience alone. My core specialism is Volkswagen Group vehicles: Volkswagen, Audi, Škoda and SEAT. I also specialize in Ford Wet Belts as well as Peugeot Puretech Wet Belts.
Working for myself means there is no second opinion to fall back on and no one else to hand a difficult job to. A wrong diagnosis is my cost to carry, in parts and in unpaid return visits. That has made me methodical, honest about what I do and do not know, and disciplined about diagnosing to a confirmed root cause rather than replacing parts speculatively.
I take one vehicle at a time so that each job receives full attention and is done once, correctly.
