Booked a pre purchase inspection for a jaguar xj 2010 portfolio listed on Facebook. As this was 2 hours each way from me a pre inspection saved me time. £185 for the inspection priority booking

The report I received was a bit misleading as everything good or great. If I went off this alone I would have purchased the car.

I spoke to Ajay after a few hours as he was busy on other jobs.

He advised me not to buy it. Told me it was cat n. New wing and paint wasn't matching. Bumper was poorly fitted and headlight bodged wiring was smoking. He test drove it and said it was under powered.

He said that the seller wasn't trust worthy and believes he was lying.

Very nice guy but I think he’s to busy as promised to call me back yet didn’t with information, I appreciate everyone is busy but I was desperate to get my car fixed as I needed it urgently . So I paid the diagnostic fee and had to do do the job myself with the help of a neighbour . Very disappointed and annoyed that it ended like this and I’m out of pocket

. I bought my car on July 2024. The car was running fine upon till today. Only thing that needed sorting was my brake and my clutch. But my head gasket of my car is totally failed. My air coolant has been popped off and it started leaking the guy called Ahjay was very nice and very helpful he had sorted the issue out straight away out of his way.

I’m just very confused on how it ended up in the situation.

Head gasket problems in Ford Focus 2013 T Ecoboost, I think I had a coolant leaking into the combustion chamber, causing white smoke before but Ahjay had sorted it out long term. Nevertheless the car has turned out to be bad luck.

I have had White Smoke from Exhaust: This is a major indicator that coolant is entering the cylinders and burning but this might have been the issue in the first place. Which Ahjay Picked up straight away and sorted it but never knew it would be a total right off.

I think due to this the engine Overheated : A blown head gasket can lead to overheating as the engine struggles to cool properly

Hi the machanic was brill and very professional ! The car had MOT and major service and the car seems brill! I know you guys are really busy but if possible next time give us an estimate time the car will be back with us! No massive issue all in all happy again with your service and we recommend you to friends and will use you again! On other thing the guys didn’t take the service due message off it’s still coming on when starting engine he did say he would pop back just didn’t say when!
