I was very unhappy with the Full Service that I paid for on my car.
I have my car serviced every year, and have always gone to either an independent garage or a chain such as Kwik Fit.
My experience this time was extremely poor.
The positives - John was punctual and polite. He seemed a nice guy.
The negatives - a very poor job.
The ‘Full Service’ that I booked and paid for was anything but a full service. When the mechanics ‘finished’, they loaded their van with their tools, locked my car, rang the doorbell and told me that the job was all complete, no problems, no leaks etc.
I commented that they had not raised the car to inspect it underneath, and there was no road test of the vehicle, both of which are clearly detailed in the 70 point Full Service schedule that is listed on the website.

When I complained, the they did then jack the car up and ‘inspect’ underneath, the outcome of which was that they also discovered an oil leak. However, my car has recently failed its MOT on items such as worn suspension arm ball joints, which was not picked up in the ‘service’ leas than 3000 miles before.
There was no report. I always receive a detailed report afterwards, either completed by hand or on a computer detailing everything that was checked, and important information, such as brake pad thickness, or corrosion on the exhaust/brakepipes/ rubber seals - things like that. One did follow some days later, but it gave the car a clean bill of health when it did not have a clean bill of health.
What was completed initially, was little more than an oil and filter change. The mechanic said they tested this, that and the other, but in reality I have no idea what they did or didn’t test or inspect because there is no report.
I feel this is very poor. As I say, the inspection underneath was only completed after I challenged the fact, and I still have not had the Full Service that I paid for.
Most of John’s reviews were for brake jobs, not for services. I had no choice of mechanic - ClickMechanic chose for me. And when I complained, they were useless.
I will use Click Mechanic again probably, but there is no way I would have them do a car service for me again.

A great service all around from John. I booked in for front and rear discs and pads on a car I had recently purchased. John had them replaced in ~an hour. He also informed me that my rear discs were fine and didn't need replacing - so there was no charge! A very honest and efficent mechanic, would recommend.

John was polite and efficient. Impressed how quickly he got the job done.He explained what caused the brake problem and tell my daughter to be gentle on the brakes for first few miles.(it was her car).

Renault Kangoo Car Won't Start Inspection

John arrived on time and carried out a lengthy inspection diagnostic on my van , John identified a fault but said he wasn’t able to fix as it needed a auto electricain . I had another mechanic look at my van and they identified the fault as the starter motor and replaced and van is now working so I’m now £70 out of pocket for wrong diagnostic by John

I conducted a full plug-in diagnostic on your van and provided you with a report of the error codes that were detected, which pointed towards a different issue. If you recall, I mentioned that in most cases when a vehicle makes a “click-click” sound, it can indicate a starter problem. However, the error codes from the diagnostic led us in another direction, as they can sometimes produce similar symptoms.

I’m glad you were able to get the van repaired, and I apologize if this caused any inconvenience. My goal is always to ensure the most accurate diagnosis for my customers, and I’ll use this experience to improve my approach further.

John was great in replacing my break discs and pads. He offered to come out to the job two days earlier, then showed up in half an hour, replaced them very quickly and gave me advice on replacing my locking wheel nut. Will be using his services again!
