My problem was water in the footwells on the passenger side of the car. I payed for an inspection of the car to try and find out what was causing this. The mechanic reckoned it was the door seals leaking which were wet. He then took photos and promised to get back back to me with a quote to replace the seals. I am still waiting. Having now "Googled" the problem I am not sure the amount of water and general dampness would be caused by slightly leaking seals. The forums seems to suggest blocked drain pipes somewhere under the windscreen.
I am also not sure where the formula for calculating the bill comes from 9/ 10ths of an hour when he was only here for 15 or 20 minutes. Does it include travel time?
So it looks like £53 wasted and I still have to get the problem sorted at a main dealer probably. Read more

The Mechanic gave plenty of notice on arrival time. The Mechanic was punctual, polite and knowledgeable on troubleshooting the problem. Happy with the service provided overall from start to finish.
