Vauxhall Corsa Suspension Noise Inspection

The diagnosis service is a complete rip off. I paid £67 for someone to spend two minutes looking at it (which he needed my help to do anyway) before saying it needs work that doesn’t need doing. I tried to speak to the garage but he was not interested. I will be taking this further.

Thanks you for your comments, we are sorry to hear you feel we should travel 16 miles to you and do it for FREE, our usual call out fee is much more than the £67.00. Yes our tech need your assistance, as it is very hard to look at suspension components etc and rock the steering at the same time. We can only comment on what the tech found to have some movement in at the time of his visit it is his opinion as to the play, different techs will have a different view on what play is acceptable. There is no given time as to how long an inspection of the suspension will take.

Kia Rio Brake discs and pads replacement - front (both)

Pick up was due between 8am and 10am.
At 10.10 call to be advised they hadbsentna message checked messages said they would be with me shortly. During the call I was told they were short staffed which I understand. Inalsonsaid that I would possibly have to go out and agreed where to leave keys.
At 11.45am I get a call saying theybhad arrived to collect my car no-one was in did I still want the work done. I called and explained my previous conversation to be told yes but they hadn't contacted the pickup driver.
Car was returned put no telephone call to advise what time itnwould be thankfully I was at home.
Car was returned keys handed to me and that was it.
I presumed everything else was okay.

Thanks you for your comments, As you were told we were short staffed on the Recovery side, and we did have a miss communication with regards to your keys from the workshop dept to our recovery control room. Once we called you and told our recovery control where the keys were the car was collected and brought into the workshops.
Once a car is completed our workshop then arrange for a recovery vehicle to take the vehicle back, if there had been any issues with the car then we would have called to advise, as this was a simple job with no problems it was delivered back to you. If you had not been in the the recovery drive would have parked the car up locked it and called you to advise he would post the keys.

The Garage diagnosed the problem and sorted it and the brakes are working well now. The only issue I have now is the handbrake light stays on even though the handbrake is working. I am hoping it is a diagnostic issue and a diagnostic device will clear it.

As you were aware due to your mobile signal we had times we could not reach you or the call went unanswered. However we went out of our way to pick you up etc and spend time on your vehicle to attempt to resolve the MOT issues.
