Kia Rio The job didn’t go ahead due to the suspension arms not being able to be sourced before the cut off for the customers MOT re-test. There is no charge.

Unfortunately the mechanic has had some problems sourcing parts for this repair job - although it did not seem to be a problem at other places I contacted. I don't necessarily blame the mechanic for that, because it sounds like he has been let down by a third party. Although the communication aspect leaves a lot to be desired. Only ever really provides updates when you chase him. Would much prefer it if he sent a quick 2 minute message every now and then, to give you an update - it's not too much to ask, when we're all busy.
On the plus side, Sam was friendly when he did communicate and was very apologetic about the situation.
I know he doesn't mean to mess his customers around, but sometimes it's just too much effort to sit around at home for ages, waiting for someone to turn up and not hearing anything until you chase them. It's not ideal.
As I said, seems like a nice guy and I'm sure when he does turn up his work is very good. Sadly I haven't been fortunate enough to see it for myself, on either of the two occasions I've booked him. (hence the 3/5 rating for quality, as I can't say personally whether it's good or bad).

I am very sorry that I wasn’t able to help you out this time. Unfortunately as you said I had been let down by 2 parts suppliers regarding getting the suspension arms for your car.
I do take this to heart and I am very disappointed that I couldn’t carry out the work on your car. I have taken actions now so that going forward this won’t happen again.

SEAT Leon Car Won't Start Inspection

Sam was great. He quickly diagnosed the problem was with the fuel pump. He showed me how to resolve starting issues until the fuel pump is fixed. He is going to send me a quote. He was very knowledgeable on my make of car. Excellent service.

Skoda Fabia Remove, clean up and re-fit a coolant pipe that clamps onto the waterpump. Run the vehicle up to operating temperature - All ok.
