The mechanics service was awful, arrived on time, however, told us it was the battery that needed replacing. As I left him to it I watched out the window and saw him open the engine, take a quick look around and then close it. He said the battery was giving in and there was no way to test the charge on the battery. He said to get a new battery and trust him since he says after years of experience he just knows. Then went to Halfords to ask for the battery to be tested and it read a 82% charge which is very good.

I expected him to use some equipment but none was used, he was absolutely useless. I would expect a refund since he did not help at all and told me wrong information so that he could get another job out of it. Read more

Juris arrived at my home, stayed for barely fifteen minutes. His so-called “diagnostic” was superficial at best, and frankly, felt more like guesswork than professional assessment.
He confidently claimed the issue was with the actuator/enhancer—a part that, as I later discovered, doesn’t even exist in manual transmission vehicles. Thankfully, I trusted my instincts and took the car to a proper garage. The qualified mechanics there confirmed that the part Juris mentioned is only used in automatic cars, making his diagnosis not just wrong, but completely irrelevant.
This experience was not only frustrating and expensive but could have cost me a significant amount of money had I followed his advice. The lack of thoroughness, expertise, and basic understanding of vehicle types is shocking. I would strongly advise anyone considering this service to look elsewhere.
