What a wonderful guy Azhar is! So friendly and helpful - sorted my problems out very quickly - explained thoroughly all the different tests he was doing and put my mind at rest that I didn't actually NEED the expensive repair that another mechanic said I needed - I just need a bigger battery for my type of car/mileage. I had a 2013 Smart Fortwo checked over by this mechanic. I was happy with the overall check, and paperwork I got back. I was told that there was delay on the gears between 1-3 which should be investigated by a transmission specialist and that the engine was too noisy on start up and should be a lot quieter.

After doing some research and liaising with a smart car mechanic, I discovered that the delay on the gears is standard for the smart car, it’s a love it or hate it thing and the noise on start up from cold is the air injection pump, which quietens after a few minutes - normal operation for the car. The car is extremely quiet when it runs, can barely hear it.

I almost didn’t buy the car based on the initial feedback I received and if it wasn’t for doing my own research I wouldn’t have, and would have missed out on a bargain.

I would definately use this service again, however wouldn’t rely on it wholeheartedly, would only use it as a guideline. Read more
