Terrible service by Clickmechanics. I don't blame the mechanic who was courteous, but the service itself is terrible. It's a scam. I think the mechanic has fallen into a bit of a easy trap, not repairing the car but spending 5 minutes doing a diagnostics for over £60. Crazy that our desperation to get back on the road leads a consumer to reach out for help from a company waiting to pounce.

Hello,
Sorry to hear your frustration with the process, as a mechanic I carried out your initial diagnostic. Now for example if you was to go to a main dealer, a similar diagnostic would be carried out probably 3x the price and only after a fix has been found, you as a customer would then have to pay for the repair on top.
Now I understand it’s frustrating the parts are not available for your vehicle through ECP. The vehicle is a EV and the parts will be only from the main dealer or supplier.
As an initial diagnostic, I explained the possible causes, there were no fault codes in the system, leaving the fast charge port at fault or possible the OBC.
In this instance this vehicle would require a full EV isolation, all HV connectors inspected for any residual voltage with cat 5 safety equipment and a corded off area. This is not something that can be done in an initial hour diagnostics either.
I understand I inspected the car quick, this does not mean my diagnostic is not thorough. I’ve inspected cars many times fast, received definite answers and received great reviews to have done so.
I spent the time required to complete the diagnostic and I could not take it any further with the issues at hand.
Anyhow, I apologise for any inconvenience caused and wish you all the best with the repair of your vehicle.

Gurdit was very friendly, courteous and communicative.
Gurdit recommended either a forced DPF clean or an additive to be added to the fuel tank...as it looked highly likely that the DPF was reaching the upper limits of soot...as no codes were displayed
I have tried the additive first....and this seems to be helping after going for a 20 mile run....hopefully this is all is needed

Vauxhall Vivaro Car Won't Start Inspection

Gurdit came to diagnose the faulty starting issue I had with my van late on a Sunday afternoon. He explained that the ignition switch that is attached to the ignition barrel was faulty. I ordered a replacement part off Amazon and installed. My van is now running again thanks to Gurdit and click mechanic.
