My car went in for air conditioning regas but the mechanic phoned to tell me that there was a big leak from the condenser so they couldn’t carry out the job.
They kept me informed and let me know when they were returning my car.
The car works well so far. I will not be using this service again child car seat came back broken. I was told to prove it .
Super friendly and efficient - no complaints! The work they carried out fixed the problem.
I was happy with the work completed, but the experience was very sub-par.
I was given a collection slot from 8-10am. At 11 I had had no communication, so I tried calling the number, and it went to voicemail. I used the resolution centre, where the garage said it would be collected in the next 45 minutes. They didn't arrive until 13:15, over 3 hours after the end of my collection slot. The mechanic said this was due to traffic in north London, but I do not understand how there can be a 3-hour delay from Enfield to Hackney! Coupled with poor communication, this was a bad start.
The car was booked to have the rear coil springs replaced as they had failed the MOT.
I called the garage at around 6pm to find out how it was going. They let me know that because of the rust on the suspension components, they were likely to break while removing the springs, this is very understandable. The garage said that the parts would be there tomorrow and the car should be back to me then.
The next day I received a call saying that they had taken the rear suspension apart, but the bots had snapped, and they could not get them from their regular supplier. Because there was a long weekend (Thurs-Sun), this meant that the bots would not arrive until Monday. As they were already ordering the extra components in, I don't see why they didn't expect these bolts to snap and order them at the same time?
On Monday they called to say that the Car was ready and would be returned the same day, it arrived around midday.
The other thing that was very worrying was that during the questionnaire on the condition of the car, I made sure to say that it was not classified as safe to drive and would not be safe to drive once the work was completed as it had failed its MOT and has dangerous defects. Once the work was complete there was still a bulge in the front tyre meaning it would still be dangerous to drive. While nothing truly serious this is worrying as if the collection driver had been pulled over by the police that would mean a fine, possibly points on their licence and I don't know what would have happened to my car. I would recommend that the garage reads the questionnaire about whether cars are safe to drive before collecting them.

Very helpful, and the work appears to be 100%.
However, I do have one concern. My car is about 14yrs old, and that age, the only way to get a reasonable price is if the car has a full MOT and a history of being kept in good repair; regular service etc. The car's MOT runs out towards the end of the year, so once it has a new MOT my plan is to sell it.
Therefore, the one thing missing is a written record of the work done on the car, including a new clutch. I have contacted the garage which did the work, and according to them, it is not their responsibility to send a full invoice; according to the garage, the responsibility of providing a full invoice, showing what work has been carried out is the responsibility of ClickMechanic.
Therefore, it would be much appreciated if your office could email a written invoice, showing what work was done.

AJ did a very good job and I would recommend this company.
I needed to get an MOT within 24 hours to sell my car. Clickmechanic was the only company that offered an MOT within 24 hours, collect and deliver. And they kept their word. They sent me a video to show me visually which parts needed replacing (2 tyres and 1 shock absorber) so I was confident enough to authorise the work straight away. They delivered the car back to me all repaired with its MOT certificate in good time for the sale. Big Thank You.
