Paul Edward , London | ClickMechanic

Paul R
I have been working in the motortrade for around 20+ years as a mechanic/technician.
Starting my apprenticeship working on Ferraris, porsches and all other types of supercars in SW London.
Leaving this dream world i then went onto work for Audi at a couple of their dealerships before moving onto to Mercedes benz UK where i was employed as VIP home service technician where i would be called out to all types of famous stars and celebrities it was a very interesting role, many great experiences.
Eventually i left this role to start my my own business over 5 years ago.
Now i specialize in mainly Audi and Mercedes-Benz and occasionally the odd supercar, however I can cater for all makes, models and repairs.

I work both as a mobile mechanic and have a private static workshop.
I use all the official manufacturers diagnostic equipment and mainly genuine parts.
Having Recently Joined Clickmechanic on 17th May 2015 I find it quite a change and very interesting to work on different cars than that of what I'm used to, Its quite interesting to see how other Manufacturers do things.

We only had an inspection for two issues on the car and was impressed with the communication from both ClickMechanic and the mechanic himself. He was proffessional and very helpful. Hopefully the quote for the repair will mean we will be seeing him again shortly and can report on the quality of work.

Paul called to say he was on his way he arrived on time. Unfortunately he was unable to change the fuel pump on my Ford focus due to the fact the fuel tank needed to be disconnected which he said would require a ramp or pit.

BMW 5 Series Rear brake pads (all) replacement
Seized pin and resetting pad warning system

Paul came to my house to change the rear brake pads on my BMW 5 series. Instead of an hour quoted and £114.45 he spent about 2 hours and produced a bill of £198.74 arguing that he had to do additional stuff, etc. I only was told by him when he called me afterwards.
Furthermore, Paul could not properly reset the system claiming that there is a problem with BMW software. So now onboard computer still gives me the warning and now somehow front brake pads are due to be replaced according to the car computer.
I really wish I had gone to the BMW garage as they have quoted similar sum, but now I am left with the car computer messed up.

I will be stopping the payment via my card and launching a complain to clickmechanick.com as the job was not either fully or properly done and I am not satisfied with the results. Most probably I will incur extra costs now to sort out the mess done to the car computer and I will be billing carmechanic.com for this and the time I spent sorting it all out.
