Mechanic was booked between 2 and 4 turns up at 6 full of apologies . Started work to replace rocker cover gasket . Seemed to be knowledgeable about what he was doing he removed the hpfp high pressure fuel pump . Completed the work put car back together started the car sounded rough as hell to me timing issue .told not to drive it untill the next day engine malfunction light comes on and goes into limp mode he returned the next day removes the fault codes doesn't test drive the car and leaves. Car again in limp mode after five minutes Now i need to replace the hpfp which is another £250 plus all because the mechanic didn't hand crack the engine so the hpfp was in the right position to feed the fuel to the injectors . Click mechanic isn't a service I'll be using again. I had a Mot and service booked and my car failed it's MOT. Before the Mot was finished I was sent a quote for rear brake discs and pads replacing but when the mot had finished and my car had failed it hadn't even failed on the rear brake discs and pads so I'm unsure where this information came from. The list of failings couldn't be completed that day but there was no attempt to even rectify very small work. The mechanic could have called at a local Halfords and collected 99% of what it had failed on. After my car had been returned he decided that my service would consist of filling my washer fluid and that was it. He also drove my car back all the way from the test centre with the handbrake on. The whole experience was awful and I was left with a car that wasn't road worthy. Read more
