Nissan Juke Plug-in Diagnostic Inspection

Both mechanics were VERY good, explained what they were doing and why in terms that I could understand. They were both very friendly.
They diagnosed that there was nothing wrong with my car just a glitch in the sensors which had righted it self when the diagnostic machine was put on.
I was very worried that they were going to diagnose all sorts which would have cost me a fortune but they didn't. If I ever have a problem with my car in the future I would use them, for sure.

Renault Clio Front driveshaft CV joint gaiter replacement - outer right

Awful experiance, police where almost called due to not knowing where our car went.
They took our car from our drive to complete a 2 hour job at there garage, we got the car back almost 24 hours later after not one phone call to say what was going on.
I caught there mechanic at 18:20 last night creeping back to the shuttle car they use to retrieve tools as the job wasn’t going to plan. He said it should be done tonight if not early hours.
In the morning still no phone call from the boss and us not knowing where the car is I went down to where the business was to find out they had moved out months ago.
You can imagine how I felt then, I managed to find an address on companies house and located our car in pieces on someone’s driveway with the mechanic sitting in the drivers seat.
I politely asked why the car isn’t finished and why he hasn’t called and his response was click mechanic should of called you not me. He then went on to make up a story of click mechanic saying the other cv boot was done but this side wouldn’t come off so got booked into them. Complete lies from the start, I understand jobs don’t always go to plan but a simple phone call would of settled things. Wife missed a day of work too which has caused major issues with her employer. To keep it short and simple and since we are operating in a service industry we are limited to respond the actual realities that we face.
1. Prior to the booking customer was notified the nature of work especially with French vehicles and requested if we could collect the car earlier rather the booking time of 4pm where they expected a suspension job to be completed and delivered back as per crm job times that they stated.
2. As per how some jobs can behave when taking apart cv joints unfortunately the area was seized and it took us into the next day where we had to move the car from our workshop which would be shut after 6pm just so we may be able to complete repairs which was notified by the mechanic upon collecting certain tool he may have left in the van that was at the customer's house.
3. When we notified the customer that in order to complete repairs we may have to break free the cv joint as a last option but he insisted that he will not pay for any extra parts even though that would've been part of this job which any mechanic can update on.
4. We fortunately completed the repairs and delivered the car back before lunch where the driver had to face abuse from the customers partner which he did not deserve.
To be absolutely fair any main dealership would have taken this job into the weekend and on top charged for a new drive shaft due to the nature of the job where we spent more time and effort on it and delivered back perfectly yet to face abuse. A rule of thumb for all mechanics and garages to be aware and make sure to explain any complexities involved to avoid such situation. We do these jobs with all honesty and the best of our ability and we wish you all the best for future. Regards.
