I needed new front brake pads, and couldn't get them done at my local Kwik Fit as they didn't stock the pads. I didn't want to go to a dealer to pay through the nose & I don't have a local garage which I use, so I tried clickmechanic. So glad I did. They mechanic turned up on time, after calling a couple of times to update me on his progress. They took the car away to the garage, did the work & returned the car at the end of the day. As a shift worker, this suited me as I would have found it difficult to get the car to them otherwise. The work was competed to a high standard & at a very reasonable cost, which was the most important factor for me.

Mechanic was very friendly let me know what they did to the car and pointed out another problem which I wasn't aware of which is good. Only bad thing is according to the website the job should of taken 1-2 hours and unfortunately I didn't get my car back for over 24 hrs.

Don't think almost £70 was worth it... Had a time slot confirmed for 9:30am - 11:30am. The gentlemen arrived late by a few hours. Thought my car would be taken to the garage to be properly tested in a safe, professional environment to establish the exact source of the weird squeaky noise coming from underneath the bonnet of my car. On the driveway, the car was only started up, revved up a bit a visually inspected. My guess was one of the pulleys having a dry bearing or being a bit loose. Didn't receive a precise answer - could be this, this or that. Instead, I was told I would be given a quote to replace all sorts of components. Frankly, Youtube videos were more helpful than this. They did keep me informed.
But I book it in for Monday.
They never came until tuesday.
