Felt very confident with this mechanic - top job at a very reasonable price.

He was friendly but he didn’t speak English at all .We had booked our mechanic to come to our house on Saturday 11.07.20 14-16.00. I was at home waiting for the mechanic when I got a text that they will attend 8.00-10.00 on the 13th Monday. The mechanic didn’t show up until 11.15. The main mechanic called me around 10.00 to let me know the mechanic guy is in traffic and running late. I told him to make sure they can’t move the car as it’s automatic and the belt and the drunk was broken so they can move the car. The engineer when arrived told me he will drive the car away. I told him he can’t and he pass the phone to me to talk to his supervisor. I told him 3rd time the car can’t be drive away. He said the engineer will decide if he can or no. Felt bad as the engineer didn’t speak much English but I was talking his language so he said exactly the same what I was keep repeating to the supervisor or main mechanic that the car can’t be drive away has to be fixed there or tow away. The engineer left I told them I have to work and my parter going away so she can wait max until 4pm to the car to be returned. They came to pick up the car around 13.00 and they were towing away. I’m sure automatic cars shouldn’t be tow.... that’s was already really worrying My partner. We were really stressed as they tow the car, and they fixed the car really quick and we don’t even know if they changed the belt on the car as they were just talking about paying extra for the labour. We payed as I was already at worked and my partner had to leave as she was going away too. When I checked the car I realised it’s making funny noise when I’m stopping it. It wasn’t like that. Also I realised two of the tire been hit. I’m really disappointed as we payed extra money for labour, they haven’t done the job when it was booked and even on the second time they were late and they made us loose a lot of time. It was really stressful and we still feel disappointed as the car make funny noise now we don’t know what they done besides they fixed the crank but I don’t know if they put a new belt or they just used the old one which was in a good condition. Please advise us what we could do. Also two of the tires it’s scratched. I have some picture of it. And it wasn’t there as we didn’t moved the car since one week. And we parked it next to a wall where it’s impossible someone else scratched it. Looking forward to hear back from you. Read more
