james was brilliant discovered i’d had some incorrect advice on a disc & brake replacement he could have done it and billed me instead i wouldn’t have known he gave me the correct advice and only billed me for the fuel he used, top guy

I am not happy at all with this service. My time slot was 10am-midday. James did not contact me prior to indicate when he would arrive at the vehicle and I wanted to be there during the inspection, I called him at 9:30am and he didn't pick up. I followed up with a text and did not get a response. It got to 10:30am and still I didn't hear anything so I called again, there was no answer. I messaged ClickMechanic on the resolution portal and they came back to me saying that they also tried to call James and did not get an answer and to wait until I hear from him. This was not a solution as I needed to purchase the car before the end of the day. Therefore I asked if they could send someone else or cancel the booking. I then booked an inspection with another company. At 1:30pm I got an email from James with an inspection report and they took money from my account. I am furious and do not recommend this mechanic due to an absolute lack of communication which has caused me to pay for an inspection twice. I feel that I have been cheated out of over £180. Everything was done very smoothly, quickly and professionally, from booking on the main website to contact from and work carried out by local mechanic James Abel.

James was great, turned up on time and checked over the car to make sure the work needed to be carried out. Quickly replaced the front discs and pads as requested. They were given a good test up on the Yorkshire moors the next couple of days and worked perfectly.
