Overall I like the concept of ClickMechanic as it saves a lot of time and hassle trying to find a garage to do the job you need. Or at least it should in theory...
I booked a clutch change through the website and the mechanic texted me the day before the job to confirm the booking. On the next day he called to let me know he would be late. I think this was ClickMechanic's error and not Terry's fault as he lives over an hour away and was still commissioned to work on my car. ClickMechanic should be matching the mechanics based on proximity to the location of the vehicle.
At the end of the job the mechanic called me to let me know he is almost done and that he spotted a problem with the CV joint.
When I went to get my keys he advised that I should replace that part as well. I was going to move the car and test the clutch when I noticed that the ABS light had come on. Due to this Terry agreed to come back the next day and change the CV joint as he thought it might help with the ABS as well, even though he lives so far.
When he came back the next day, he couldn't change the CV joint as he found a problem with the driveshaft itself and advised me that I would have to change that whole part. This was a bit of an oversight on his part as he should have noticed that it was bad the first time he removed the CV joint. At this point he put the car back together but the driveshaft remained disconnected so I could not use the car anymore. We agreed that he would come back to finish the job after I have bought the part. I had the driveshaft in a day or two but he could not come and fix the car for 4 days so I had no car. Also, in the end I was still left with an ABS light on and now I need to change the sensor as well.
I think I will use ClickMechanic again hoping that I will have a better experience next time.

Great Service, e-mail queries answers quickly, the mechanic called the day before to confirm all the work required /parts. Called again on the day of the work to let me know he was en-route. Very impressed. Will certainly use again, and would definitely use again.

I have also sent the following email to Andrew @ ClickMechanic:
Citroen C3 - GR03 ABX
Address - 39 Farmadale Ave, Borstal, Rochester, Kent - ME1 3HT
We have had a serious issue with the C3 - yesterday my Wife was driving as normal when the accelerator jammed on causing the car to speed forward for some considerable distance before she could switch the ignition off and bring the vehicle to some kind of controlled stop. It was pure luck that that she was not involved in an accident as a result of this.
The RAC attended and the patrol man identified the problem straight away - during the clutch replacement carried out through Click Mechanic (Terry) part of the Air Filter plastic box has been broken off and this has been caught under the throttle butterfly and secured in this position when it has been reassembled following the clutch replacement.
FYI I have attached the RAC report.
He has removed the trapped piece of plastic housing but obviously this needs to be put right properly and the broken Air Filter box replaced - therefore please can you contact me regarding arranging an engineer to attend and carry out the remedial works.
