Mitsubishi Lancer Audible and plug in diagnostics revealed that the exhaust leak from recent work is the route cause of the customers issue.

Excellent, turned up on time with the parts I thought I needed, turns out I didn't need everything so win win. The water pump was a fiddly job, but was sorted, brakes checked and parts replaced that needed replacing. The mechanic replaced the top hose as well, with my spare as the bleed valve sheared. If I remember I think the mechanic was called Tom, hard worker, high quality work, efficient and got done just as the heavens opened!!! He wouldn't accept any offered for a hot brew, even though working out in the bitter wind! If I need a mobile mechanic again, would defiantly use again or recommend.

Tom turned up on time, checked the job and decided that I only needed the rear brake pads replacing. The work was carried out in a very professional manner and completed in no time.

Time has passed by with Gordon's Autos (Southern) collecting customers in Southampton, Cambridge and Camberley during various stages of my Army career. My Wife and I have settled down to live in the Lincolnshire Wolds. It is from here that Gordon's Autos will create another collection of customers and continue a family tradition of vehicle maintenance at affordable prices for the new and not so new vehicles.
My son having completed his apprenticeship in the garage is now driving HGVs and a second apprentice who completed his training moved to a Volvo main agents. I had tried to retire and put my feet up but, the garage is now full steam ahead again having taken on my 3rd Apprentice. I will be running the garage for at least another 3 years while my new apprentice learns her trade. Yes the female population of vehicle technicians will have another one by the end of 2028.
Mean while I've been back to college over the last 18 months and gained my IMI Level 3 and 4 qualifications in Electric Vehicle repairs, maintenance and diagnostics. Read more
