My partners who have been mechanics for over 10 years first started out at college learning all the relevant skills in order to confidently maintain a full range of vehicles and also learning the trade at a local private independent garage for 5 years in total. They then branched out to being mobile mechanics for a number of years before going into partnership with myself. We now run a mobile mechanic service with number plate making facilities, trade plate car delivery and recoveries and full range of garage facilities. Working on all makes and models - along with MOT's + pre & post MOT work.

Charged my card for work before it was completed, against ClickMechanics policy. I understand from ClickMechanic that I will be refunded but this mechanic is now unwilling to carry out the work. Never accept payment being taken before satisfied with the work carried out. Based on previous responses to negative reviews I see for this mechanic I'm sure there will be a contrary response.

Chris did a great job on my Citroen C1 clutch repair. There was a delay in pick up and drop off, but the job has been done really well & my car has never driven better. Chris even fixed my key (which I didn't expect, as I'd only booked in for the clutch repair.) Thank you!

Pick up was delayed due to the garage recovery vehicle breaking down. I was told of another fault with the flywheel only after they had built up the car. had there been a phone call to me to let me know that there was a possible fault with the Dual Mass Flywheel I would have had this replaced whilst the car was dismantled. As it was I had to pay out £400 over the quoted price to have the flywheel replaced with a solid one. This included labour for taking the gearbox off a second time. I have had the car in for test today at another garage and they asked if the vehicle had just had a new nearside driveshaft. They showed me what was clearly a new driveshaft with a new sticker on. So why was this part replaced? was the extra work charged for to cover this cost? The garage I have been to today also advised that the car has a Dual Mass Flywheel for a reason and that they didn't recommend conversion to a solid flywheel. They said it can cause rattling and vibration and ultimately damage the gearbox. As you can imagine I am not happy with finding all this out. The car does seem to be running okay at the minute although there is a rattle and vibration when decelerating at times. When I can afford it I will have this checked by a local garage, who I will also get to verify the work done was as advised. Read more

YES WE WERE DELAYED DUE TO RECOVERY ISSUES WHICH IM SURE YOU CAN RELATE TO MECHANICAL ISSUES AS YOU WERE SUFFERING THEM ALSO
DURING THIS PROCESS WE HAD CONTACT WITH YOUR FATHER AND NOT YOURSELF SO THIRD HAND INFO WAS SUPPLIED TO AND FROM US. WE MADE PROVISIONS FOR THE DELAY BY HIRING A TRAILER TO COLLECT YOUR CAR AND SPEED UP YOUR REPAIR AT NO COST TO YOU.
THE FLYWHEEL ISSUE WENT UNNOTICED AS WE WERE COMMISIONED TO CHANGE A CLUTCH, WHEN WE HAD PUT THE GEARBOX BACK TOGETHER IT WAS FOUND AND YOU WERE DULY NOTIFIED AND GIVEN OPTION OF SOLID FLYWHEEL @ £400 (ASK ABOUT THE COSTS OF THESE) OR DUAL MASS £1000+ AND YOUR FATHERS REPLY AFTER DISCUSSING WITH YOU WAS GO AHEAD AND INSTALL SOLID FLYWHEEL DUE TO COST BEING CHEAPER.

WE HAVE NOT AT ANY STAGE DONE ANY REPAIRS TO A DRIVESHAFT BUT WE DO CLEAN PROPERLY SO THIS MAY BE WHAT YOUVE DISCOVERED, A CLEANED OFF SHAFT.

WE HAVE INSTALLED WHAT YOU HAD REQUESTED AND AGREED UPON AND NOTHING MORE AND DID NOT CHARGE YOU EXTRA FOR TAKING GEARBOX OFF A SECOND TIME TO INSTALL THE SOLID FLYWHEEL YOU AGREED TO HAVE INSTALLED AND CERTAINLY HAVE NOT INFLATED PRICE TO COVER COST OF ANY PARTS.

THIS GARAGE YOUVE TAKEN THE CAR TO FOR TESTING???

Only slight issue was the vehicle was due to be collected on Friday but I was contacted to say the were unable to collect on that day. They did however make amends as came to collect the car on Sunday. Work completed and I was very happy with the price

The mechanic did keep in contact and wasn't able to come out at the time arranged due to waiting on a part, this didn't bother me as it happens. Work was quick as expected, and the mechanic showed the old parts to see the change.
It's been a month, and I wanted to wait to see if all would be ok, it had been fine and then my car lost power again.
Turns out the wrong HT leads had been used.
I had spoken to Chris (@customer services) on the phone and described them to him, as they needed clamps. These ones slip right off.
So I'm happy with how I was treated and the time it took to fix. But understandably annoyed that the wrong part was fitted.
