More than happy with the work carried out on my Full Service. Steve was great guided me through each step he was carrying out.

Steve messaged on the day to confirm when he would arrive (within the time slot allocated). Arrived on time. Advised what his plan was and what time he would be taking my car to the garage for some of the service work and the MOT.
He had a slight concern about tyre tread but we agreed an action plan before he took the car for the MOT.
Knowledgeable, and friendly. Would definitely use Steve again. Given how busy all our lives are its so much better than having to hang around a garage for a couple of hours!

First time using Clickmechanic for me. Steve accepted my booking to replace front and rear brake pads and discs and MOT.

Steve completed the front brakes, but couldn't do the rear because he didn't have the correct tool. Said he would come back the Monday. However he invoiced me for the full amount

2 hours after he was due on the Monday he text to say he would have to cancel because he had broken down.(things happen, no problem) I then had to chase him to confirm when he would return, hoping Wednesday/Thursday. Then it was Friday, but his van suddenly needed an MOT. Then get a message to say he'd had a bad day the Friday and couldn't make it. It was apparent then that he was carrying out other work without completing my job. It was obvious his intention was to try and squeeze me in around jobs. I said I just wanted a refund for the work not carried out. No problem he said. The refund then became an issue. Problems with the bank etc. Just one excuse after another. Clickmechanic have had to refund the money on his behalf.

I'm not questioning Steve's quality of work. My issue was his reliability, or lack of it. I was having excuses every day. If you can get Steve to do the job I'm sure he's a great mechanic. He won't get any further work from me though unfortunately. Read more
